The treads are great and they have a stiff boot feel and attached tongue/rubber toe to keep them dry. The sizing is more like a boot than a shoe, presumably because they expect you to wear them with thicker socks. If you plan to use thin socks with these, then order a half size down. If you will be using thick socks like you would with a hiking boot, then they are true to size.Comfortable for a hiking boot but these are not very comfortable shoes. The rigid boot feel is great for hiking and I like that they are not actually boots so your ankles dont feel strapped down... but these are not as comfortable as a walking shoe. The insoles are also pretty stiff, could drop in an aftermarket brand that suits your preference and then it would be a 5 star product.
This is such a warm, cozy slipper that is not only suitable for the house but also for quick runs outside due to the lug sole and warm Ugg lining. It does run at least a size large so I had to return for a different size, but I love this slipper. So easy to slip into with or without socks.
